Review of Community - Antenatal written by a patient
9th February 2015

Tracy Browning was my midwife for my first pregnancy. Despite having moved further away, Tracy happily took me back into her care for my second pregnancy. I had gestational diabetes and she helped me devise a birth plan that ensured my baby was safe whilst also ensuring I was happy. I struggled with breastfeeding but Tracy helped me with my positions and helping me heal. I am now able to breastfeed my son. Tracy goes above and beyond her call of duty, responding to texts late into the night and travelling far. She loves her job and this shines through in her work. Michelle Poole at Gloucester Royal also assisted me with my birth plan. My gestational diabetes meant I was put into a certain category, despite my diabetes being well controlled. Michelle spoke to consultants and studied the guidelines, enabling me to have a safe birth whilst ensuring I was happy and felt in control. Michelle cares, and this showed through the attention and care she gave me, which included giving me a personal tour of the birthing unit and having guidelines reviewed for me.

Review of Community - Postnatal
10th September 2014

Really informed care giver (midwife) who gave personalised service. The midwife's personality meant that this was natural to her, and every visit was enjoyable and fun in a time when I felt vulnerable and very sore. The encouragement I received helped me to carry on looking after my baby when I felt emotional and reassured me about my own health. Thanks. Keep up the amazing service you offer. You have no idea how important the domicillary service is to us Mums.
