I was initially seen by Nurse Emma Edwards, she seemed like she was in a rush, she was very dismissive of whatever I was saying, she hadn't even opened and read the case notes from my previous appointments, which should have given her more context on my request. As a patient, who has been vulnerable in the past and received great medical care at BHR-Outpatients East in those vulnerable times fr other Nurses & Doctors, I want to highlight Nurse Emma's uncaring and rushed approach to patient care. To emphasise, when I first came to BHR - Outpatients East for PEPse treatment, if I had been seen by Nurse Emma, I would have not felt safe or comfortable enough to share what had happened (Gay sex being a taboo and hard to talk based on an Indian upbringing), thus ending up without treatment and possibly contracting HIV. A Nurse should not treat a patient like a Barista treats a customer at Starbucks.
