I found the nurse Katie Marie very cold and robotic. She said a few comments that stayed on my mind throughout the day and night. I ran with my son in the buggy over the A13 to try to make the appointment on time which I did. I told her this and she said “don’t tell them that” I don’t know who she was referring to but she seemed to be a little shady maybe referring to a situation going on that’s personal. She asked me if there was any Domestic violence going on so I think she was hinting at social services maybe. Anyway I found her to be a bit stuck up and judgemental. Not very friendly and her energy was off which I had to mention to her as she was making me uncomfortable. There was another lady there who witnessed everything and was smiling but didn’t mention a word. She didn’t even introduce her I had no idea who she was however she didn’t bother me at all she made the situation more relaxed. I asked Katie for some aciclovir as I suffer from herpes and I’ve been having a lot of break outs recently. She said I couldn’t get them unless I had a breakout and because nothing was showing up on the system of me ever having a diagnosis even though I told her I didn’t get it there and I’ve only came to the clinic a few times. I asked to see a consultant concerning my breakouts and she told me they are very rare and I have to be on time and turn up. I almost felt like she was a school teacher telling me off. Her whole attitude overall was terrible and made me feel really upset. She did all the testing and gave me some stuff to help however there were some things I felt she could of done better to help like the aciclovir as I said to her I have a baby and getting to the hospital is really awkward I can’t really get a direct bus there so it would be helpful to have the medication when I get a breakout instead of making that journey again to walk in with my baby.
