As a career, I was on my knees for lack of sleep - my husband is approaching end of life and during the assessment both our needs and idiosyncrasies were taken into account.

[name removed]'s (?) manner was truly exemplary and she did her utmost to make sure there was 'joined up' thinking in the care given. This is very important and does not always happen on each units has its own criteria to measure up to. In short make sure everyone has the same caring professional compassionate approach. Two years ago I was diagnosed with heart failure, a complete shock and when I was told I also had COPD my world fell apart. I lost my confidence, self esteem and felt completely useless.
