My only problem with the Cleveland Clinic is the communications, and that I find to be a big problem. Before my surgery it was hard to get anyone to respond to my questions, and it took a long time to get the responses I needed. The very helpful and clear responses got to me at the very last minute, so I was less clear about what was going to be happening than I'd otherwise have been. I feel that it was a problem of each staff member having too many doctors to be keeping track of, and too many patients

I spent a total of 16 days and nights in the Cleveland Clinic across 2 stays in September. The first stay of 9 days was with pancreatitis and pancreatic fluid leak following an endoscopy ultrasound biopsy. The second stay was 7 days following a distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy operation. Across both stays, which involved periods in the ICU, ACU and 5th floor, I was treated fantastically well by all the nurses, doctors and other members of staff. I can't thank them enough, particularly all the nurses who looked after me in the ICU, ACU and 5th floor. They're incredible. I wish I could name them all but I can't remember all their names.

All very straight forward, easy access. Consultant very pleasant and understanding, communicated well and carried out what he suggested.

Dedication of nursing staff was superb. My only complaint related to difficulty in obtaining hot water from shower.

An extreme efficient service. Whilst very expensive well worth the value having failed to have my operation performed under the NHS due to waiting lists. Staff were extremely attentive and my Consultant Surgeon extremely skilful.
