The standard of consultant\ nursing care was excellent especially in icu. I was very very happy with this. However the admin side prior to the procedure - ie costing of procedure was diabolical with the price increasing rapidly from around £20000 to £38000 less than 48 hours prior to my procedure. I do think this added a substantial burden to any usual pre op worries - as I was left trying to sort it the entire day on Thursday 9th May - just 24 hours before my procedure. I do think the Cleveland need to improve on such admin issues. But I must reiterate that the standard of professor/consultant and nursing care was very professional . I would rate it as excellent. I felt very well looked after especially in icu and on the ward.

Improve on admin communications and present costings to your patients much more efficiently. as above.

Yes there is a nurse in ICU called Dane. Her ability to care was exceptional. She is intuitive, empathetic, reassuring, consistent, professional , a truly outstanding member of your team. I think it was because of her I was able to recover as well and as quickly as I did.
