The quality of the Nursing team and medical staff was excellent, including the high level of care I received from the ICU team where I was for one night/day. The environment of the hospital was very clean, spacious and appealing. The quality of the food was very good too. The experience was a transparent one, by being kept informed and with nurses who listened to my concerns and questions openly.

Prior to admission, I had to chase up the exact arrangements for the scheduling of my operation. I was expecting to be contacted about this without prompting. Although the room was of a very high standard, blackout blinds could be considered as the light streams in very early which can be a challenge when you are sleep deprived!

My consultant was excellent and as this was not the first time he has performed surgery on me, I found it very reassuring he was in charge. He has an incredibly kind and accessible approach and it made a difference seeing him pre/ post surgery once admitted. Overall, I was very impressed with the medical team and thank them for making a challenging time more comfortable and reassuring on many levels.

The quality of the environment and art work everywhere - loved it! One of the nurses on the night shift. She was outstanding!
