25th February 2024

The caregivers were excellent and I would like to know apologise to the nurse who had problems with my cannula. I can only think that it was due to lack of fluid in the lead up to admission.

Suggested improvements
A lot of the paperwork contained the same information but in a different sequence which can seem confusing to someone of my age. I had tried to transfer the money by bank transfer but was unable to find my Account Number which is one of the required fields. I therefore had to use a debit card which will have cost the clinic considerable transaction fees. I did not need to use the call button or experience pain during my visit so it would be more accurate if a ‘not applicable’ option was added to some questions.

This is my first real contact with private medical care which I had to self fund. I need travel insurance to travel to the USA next July but was found last November to have left branch bundle block. The earliest NHS initial appointment was in May so private was the only way to go. I had an appointment with Dr Saha at the local Nuffield hospital in January and he even drew a diagram of the heart to show what caused lbbb. I found his manner very reassuring and by the end of February the whole thing should be done and dusted. It has cost most of a year’s pension but when needs must!
