One comes to a hospital like Cleaveland hoping to get 5 start treatment not only for medical issues but to be treated in a 5 star manner.
They ask for your choice of food one day prior and I find this quite bad as you don’t know what to order 24 hours in advance.
You ask for a cup of tea or coffee and they serve it without a spoon..,or sugar.. how do they expect to stir..?
Food is served without pepper or salt and mostly quite warm not hot.! Sometimes they say that they don’t have what you have requested..!!! They don’t clear the trays after you have finished and at some instances not until the next day.. water is not changed. They don’t offer anything in between meals.
We don’t hardly see the nurse in charge as he or she is always busy.!
The bathrooms are not cleaned everyday.
After paying over £20k you expect a better service. I must say I was a little disappointed
The catering was awful.
Catering never answered when buzzed.
I had wrong or cold meals sent up. Daily.
There is no menu for free fluid or light diet- and the catering staff cannot be bothered to go through what I could have on a light diet or explain what the food were on the details of the the menu.
I was sent a soft diet where I was told ‘chicken or pasta’ and the chicken dish smelt so awful I had to send it outside my room because I was going to vomit.
Food service team went the extra mile
I just want to say a massive thank you to all the doctors and nurses who looked after me during this time. Everybody was so kind, patient and caring. I felt safe and very looked after. The facility was clean and quiet - the perfect environment for a smooth recovery
As above … all aspects of medical care and clinic were of an exceptional standard
The nurses and doctors were amazing and the quality of the hospital was 10/10
All very good. The only downside being the slight lack of communication between teams. There were moments I was being asked what the plan was, when I expect this to be told to me!
