I had excellent treatment from the radiology Doctor who did my scan. However when I turned up at the door to come into the hospital the man on the door tried to insist that I remove my mask which is a high quality well fitting N95 mask and replace it with the lower quality loosefitting surgical blue mask. Obviously I refused on the grounds that my mask was much better and I would be safer. The doorman explained that it was policy and that I would not be able to come in. I said it didn’t make any sense and I wasn’t removing my mask. We were at an impasse and then luckily he suggested that I put the blue mask over the top of my mask. It was an absolute farce and if he had not come up with a good compromise (for which he should be credited)I would have been very angry and mad a complaint. I was not prepared to risk my safety on the basis of a “computer says no “moment. Incidentally I also noticed a number of members of staff walking around with loose low quality masks or masks not covering their noses. This is not good enough!
