Like the rest of the nhs, this establishment adopts a hostile, defensive and highly adversarial attitude to aggrieved taxpayers who are forced to fund the clown show. Where a simple admission of a clerical error could easily resolve an issue, get them off the hook, and put the matter to bed for good, the hospital instead chooses to try and defend its position despite the overwhelming evidence of irregularities and malicious, discriminary conduct by a consultant, thus digging itself into a deeper hole and making itself very vulnerable to litigation. Evidently this hospital relishes antagonising aggrieved patients and turning an easily resolvable issue into an all-out war. It's sports for them. The more vulnerable the patient, the bigger the kick they get out of it. Based on personal experience, I believe there is a deeply ingrained institutional culture of complete and utter disdain, even hatred, for patients. Actions have consequences.
