I was admitted to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for a PCNL on my right kidney. The surgery required general anaesthetic and I was placed in the David Evans ward for recovery for 3 days after my surgery. During this time I required a blood transfusion as I had lost quite a lot of bloody during the surgery. I have received immaculate care from all the hospital staff from the minute I got admitted to when I got released. They all did their best to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Throughout the entire time, I was aware of my situation, I felt involved in the decisions which were made about me and this really made me feel safe and confident that I was looked after properly. The standard of care received from everyone at this hospital has exceeded my expectations and I am grateful to all staff for this.
