You could arrange a group for full time workers, as it is difficult to manage mid week along side / during work hours.

Response from Campbell House

Thank you for your feedback. We recognise U&ME groups can be difficult to access for full time workers. We are constantly reviewing our service delivery and are exploring options to run evening groups.

[name removed] who has helped me, has done an amazing job, has helped get the help I clearly needed and recognised what could have been wrong with me and didn't "fob" me off as being in need of anger management. Got to the root cause and I am now on my way to getting the medication I need to help me. Thank you [name removed] Fitzgerald for everything.

Review of IAPT Talking Therapies Northants

I felt I was listened to, in a caring, professional manner. The techniques I was given to help my situation were perfectly tailored to meet my needs. In the sessions I received, I really noticed a significant improvement in my well being with every session. I’ve managed to achieve the targets I set at the beginning and feel 100% better. I would like to thank everyone I dealt with, especially [name removed] as the care, consideration and understanding I received from her was exemplary.

I feel that this group has aided in me feeling better in myself and showing my better self to those around me. I have felt supported and encouraged to keep this change going which has been an incredible thing to feel and witness among the other people I've been attending with.

Suggested improvements
I do not believe there is anything that could have been done better or differently.

The facilitators are incredibly supportive and humanising - you don’t ever feel belittled or ignored at any point throughout the module. The content is very accurate and helpful, and has so much impact when practiced outside of group. It has been a very transformative experience.

Suggested improvements
Nothing at all!

The 'care' given felt pointless and just reading out of a book, something I can do on my own. I approached the service needing help as my own efforts are not working, but all I got was reading back and given information that I already knew.... as I had seen it all before online. Along with phrases such as 'we all feel like this', obviously, this is wrong, if everyone felt like this, 100% of the country would be under mental health care. I feel that I might as well stop wasting the IAPT systems time and money as its going nowhere new.

Suggested improvements
Provide something more than just reading commonly gain information that is everywhere nowadays with a little research.

Response from Campbell House

I am sorry this has been your experience. IAPT has a range of options for treatment including groups, on-line, webinar and individual support to suit the needs of the person. Part of the CBT approach does include psych-educational material as part of the therapy but with more discussion then we can explore how we apply this individually to yourself, or if necessary consider another model of therapy. Please discuss options with your current therapist or ask to speak to the Lead of the service on 0300 9991616 to discuss alternative options. We hope to hear from you soon. Lead for IAPT.
