More regular appointments and in-person rather than telephone appointments! A telephone call every 2 weeks for someone in desperate need of help is simply not good enough! Also care needs to be tailored to each individual patient without a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

You’re asking the wrong questions. It shouldn’t be about culture or faith, it should be about actual care standards. The psychiatrist was helpful and so was the pharmacist, but after that, it was a black hole.

After being in crisis, I received an email from [name removed] stating: “I am emailing to advise the psychology waiting list is closed and the and the bipolar psychoeducation group is full. Kind regards sent on behalf of Prof. [name removed]” So no help whatsoever. And no alternative. Prof [name removed] was very good for one session but beyond that it all stops dead.

My dr [name removed] was exceptionally good. He is an excelent dr. I have upmost respect for him and his team. The care i was given was truely exceptional and i am greatly appreciative of this most high level of care and expertise. My experience with the dr and his team was perfect. Thank you. My experience of your display boards about faith was very poor sadly. Areas on the display board explained about [name removed] and [name removed] in depth of detail of their Gods and beliefs but when i came to a christmas display area all it explained was about santa and nothing about [name removed] birth or the nativity. I was greatly disapointed and shocked at the display. It was very disheartening.

I had one phone call to tell me I have bipolar - no phone calls or follow ups after this, no numbers or help given. Upped my tablets without speaking with me But mainly no follow ups or check ups. No communication what so ever.

Communicate. Advise what happens next. Check up / follow ups Ensure we are okay - medication is working etc. literally feel like you couldn’t get me away quick enough and. Not provided any aftercare just threw tablets at my bipolar.

A part of person centred care is ensuring that the patient is in the middle of the MDT. However, I was informed that meetings were made about me including “my best interests” without consulting me about my interests and choice in care.

Ensured the patient is included in the meetings, so that they can make more decisions in their care.

OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS; SINCE CORONAVIRUS; MY CARE HAS CHANGED FROM WEEKLY/TWO-WEEKLY CONTACT WITH EATING DISORDER SERVICE PSYCHOLOGIST+ DIETITIAN AND PCART CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST (WITH BLOOD TESTS EVERY TWO WEEKS) TO 30 MINUTES CONTACT WITH PCART CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST EVERY 9-12 MONTHS. MY CONDITION HAS NOT CHANGED IN ANY POSITIVE WAY AND IN CERTAIN RESPECTS HAS DETERIORATED CONSIDERABLY. I DO NOT HAVE A EMERGENCY POINT OF CONTACT AND HAVE NEVER BEEN OFFERED ONE. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CONVEY THIS TO MY GP AS THE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM IS DEVISED TO RING-FENCE PATIENTS WHO ARE NOT IN NEED OF URGENT CARE; LEAVING THEM TO SPEAK WITH A PATIENT ADVISOR WHO HAS NEITHER THE KNOWLEDGE OR AUTHORITY TO ASSIST APPROPRIATELY.

IT APPEARS THAT I AM ONLY ELIGIBLE FOR MEDICATION NOW. THERE IS NEVER ANY SUGGESTION, REFERENCE OR OFFER OF THERAPEUTIC INPUT OR ASSISTANCE (contrary to NICE guidelines). HAVING INFORMED MY CONSULTANT THAT OVER A NEAR-TWENTY YEAR PERIOD THERAPY HAS RESULTED IN MUCH GREATER IMPROVEMENTS IN MY HEALTH; AS OPPOSED TO MEDICATION WHICH HAS HAD VERY MINIMAL POSITIVE INFLUENCE. I NOW FEEL AS IF ANYTHING I MENTION DURING MY CONSULTATIONS IS ULTIMATELY INCAPABLE OF ALTERING THE INEVITABLE OUTCOME; THAT BEING THE SUGGESTION OF MEDICATION AND THAT I WILL BE SEEN AGAIN IN 9-12 MONTHS (OR, OF COURSE, I HAVE THE OPTION OF PRIVATE CARE - SOMETHING THAT I CONSIDER WHOLLY UNETHICAL AND CERTAINLY CANNOT AFFORD DUE TO MY DISABILITY).

When ever I call my GP they are most helpful compassionate and so helpful I’m so grateful for all they do

Pay them more !Goverment And appreciate they are all human and to deal with customer service they all deserve to be treated with respect and dignity to so such a demanding work placement little staff and demanding occupation from the public Sector much support is needed and required within the care sector and a decent salary much needed to help with the fantastic work all staff do helping the public let’s support them that support us as with out them we are nothing .

Not happy at all l got enough problems with my life it take ages to get back for GP and other NHS departments l don't get enough help all l get medication lam worried about my life my health taugh to survive these days

Ignored me for months and haven’t called me back about my assessment and seeing a psychiatrist. Had my assessment 6 months ago, I have been struggling with my mental health for over a year
