I feel very let down by the service. There is no personable approach to care or understanding, especially in a crisis. No sense of urgency or validation, especially when minding for my diagnosis (BPD). I am very disappointed and feel that this in itself has impacted me negatively.

Suggested improvements
A more personable approach where patients have access to the entire team, different points of contacts within the service. This needs to have a multi-disciplinary approach, especially when taking in mind the extreme complexity of emotional needs needed to be met by those with BPD.

Appalling treatment from rural parks cmht, they don't seem to understand what support is! In fact will readily send you away in crisis and just leave you to it. Even worse when they moan at the individual for not being pro active about there care but when the individual tries to be proactive they slam all of the doors in your face! And yet still wonder why when I'm in crisis I don't engage with them!

All the team was polite and helpful, my consultant listened to what I said and explained what he felt best next steps. Only problem I had was my original appointment was cancelled and rescheduld for 1 month later, so feel lost 1 month of help.

Instead of just cancelling appointment felt I could have had a least had a welfare call from someone to see how was doing

I feel thoroughly neglected by the mental health team. I’d been seeing a psychiatrist for some years and these visits were stopped when Covid hit and have never been reinstated.

You almost discharged me before I had the chance to explain my issues. You told me I would have a follow up on my dr appointment so I could possibly have medication…this was two months ago. I have had to chase up every appointment, sometimes calling 3-5 times a day. I had to wait almost 2 hrs for my in person assessment, things like this added to my anxiety which was already high.

Response time. Keeping to appointments. Listening. Thinking about how actions have an effect on the patient.

I feel heard by the staff on the team but feel fobbed off by the doctor if I suggest change or I crease/decrease it is shut down

I definitely feel like I could benefit from having some kind of therapy rather than just a medication review once every 6 weeks
