The practioner lacked empathy. It sounded as of she were reading from a script, no feeling of empathy, understanding. Perhaps she lacked experience and knowledge. Not what I imagined from a cbt session. Very quick and impersonal.
Suggested improvements
My anxiety is due to an ongoing family issue which involves the police, psychologists and doctors giving the right support to family members with health issues. My child ran away the day before my session!!! When the practioner allowed me to finish my sentence! She asked if my problem was hypothetical or practical. No emotion. No sorry for your pain. Nothing.
Perhaps I would've been better matched to a different practioner.
