I received wonderful care at the Hospice after the death of my mum. All the staff from doctor Heidi right to the kitchen and canteen staff were amazing with my family and myself and helped us through mum's passing.
One person I have to mention is Chris who I saw every few weeks to sit and talk about mum before and during her illness. Chris was very compassionate and caring.
Everything was good about my care, excellent in fact. Nothing could be improved.

Can I thank all the staff for the care and help? They give us all on a Wednesday they are all caring and kind.
The sessions have been very helpful in a comforting and relaxed environment. Christine has been very supportive and feel the benefits of these sessions will help in the future.
I enjoy on a Wednesday to the Bury Hospice Daycare. The care I receive is very good. The attitude of the drivers is very helpful. The chat is friendly but not invasive. The receptionists 'Good morning' is a welcome greeting as is the pleasant smiles and welcoming of the canteen staff. Daycare takes place in a multipurpose room and social area both of which are welcoming on appearance. On entering, you are greeted with warmth and affection, are relieved of your coat and invited to sit with a tea/coffee and biscuit and staff take our contributions for lunch/raffle and ensure that we have all medication for the day ahead. Once the tea is served you are left to your own devices and can chat with fellow day care patients. There is plenty of time for discussion about personal conditions and help is always offered. The rest of the morning is taken up by a quiz of various kinds; there is plenty of good banter and laughter. Lunch is laid out in the workroom and everybody joins in. Meals are delicious, a choice of a three-course home-cooked meal. The afternoon session, arts and crafts and puzzles are fun. There is always something of interest going on. We have entertainment, a choir singer and animals come to visit followed by afternoon tea and delicious cake. We are picked up and returned home and fall into a very happy nap. I cannot think of anything that needs improving. It honestly is a home from home.
