Was nervous about going to an sti clinic, as have been three other occasions and not very good experience. This clinic is the best, no hesitation in going again, and the nurse who checked me out(for everything) was an angel. Thanks burrel street

April 11.2017 It was not easy to make an appointment as you have to wait until Fridays at noon for available appointments for the week after. I managed to make for 9am, I arrived just before 8am and there was a long queue for 30 people in front. when i got to the reception i was given a form to fill then i went back to the reception and told the lady i had an appointment at 9am i had made through Zesty. She said take a sit. 15 minutes later i was called to come in. I went for a coil fitting; the week before i had been at the GP who was not able to fit it in so i was very nervous. The nurse that saw me Irene was absolutely amazing, she explained in very detail everything to me, and even called a senior Doctor to come in as she was concerned that as it didn't work before maybe it was going to be a challenge. But she was just amazingly good she had such a gentle hands that i didn't feel much and in less than 5 minutes after she inserted it, it was all over. They said it is all done and i couldn't believe it. i didn't have any pain at all, just a bit of discomfort when they opened the cervix but all was done with so much care and quick that didn't even notice when went in. It was definitely worth it waiting until Friday to make the appointment online and I feel very please i went with this clinic. My experience was very good, Irene looked after me, she was very professional and very caring. I would recommend Burrell Street without a doubt based on my experience. Best Regards Rocio del Pilar

I came at 8.00 am and at 14.30 I was still waiting for someone to see me. Unnecceptable! I asked for a booking to another day and they told me that is not possible at all.

On the form they give you to fill out on arrival, request multiple services and list lots of symptoms even if you don't have them and you'll be seen much quicker.

I turned up with symptoms an hour before clinic and was turned away. After returning I was asked for details and told to sit down. I received a text 45 minutes later to tell me I had just been booked in and was 22nd in the queue. When I queried how long it had taken to process this she told me I should have been there earlier, which I explained I had been. I waited in excess of 4 hours to be seen only to have a healthcare worker who didn't care or treat me with any respect, just making sarcastic comments about how I should have been there earlier and how I might have caught the infection. Shocking behaviour in this kind of clinic.

Nothing wrong with the care given at all. However, I was told to fill in the form and then leave - told I would receive a text later (which I did) telling me my place in the queue. I then came back to the clinic when I was 3rd in the queue and politely told to sit in the waiting room. An hour went past and so did 5/6 patients, then the same after a second hour. I had to prompt the desk to tell them I was still there. Eventually seen, but all in all could have saved a lot of time if the system actually worked.

About walk in experience: I arrived to the clinic at 10am on Friday(working day). Despite at the website told patients may enjoy free wi fi and coffee whilst waiting in the line, person on the reception even didn't let me in. Just gave me an application form and told I have to wait for indefinite time outside by the moment clinic text me info about my situation. Also, nobody guarantees I will have my appointment today, so I have to come another day and pass the way of expectation again. Although, I tried to wait outside in nearest Starbucks. The first notification I received in 3 hours about 1pm when already was on way back to home. Clinic informed me I am 10th in the que and I should respond if i am still coming. I responded "yes" and got back to Sauthwark area. In two hours of expectation I realized I am only 7th in the line but decided to wait for half an hour longer. No changes changes happened in 30min and I gave up with my solution to get back. So, at 3 30pm I was 6th in the que. Only at 3 40pm I received a call from clinic with a question if I still waiting to)). When I told that I have left the que because after 5,5hours I am still 6th I decided to leave. I didn't get from person called me even "sorry". I lost all day long time, money for the road and hanging around the clinic- for nothing. I find it totally unacceptable and disappointed so much. Good luck to everyone regarding services of Burrell street clinic.

I asked on the phone if I could get an implant on the Saturday walk-in, she said yes. I waited for four hours on Saturday and then found out I could not - I was given the wrong information and it was too late to go elsewhere. It is a great service and we were made to feel comfortable but it was a waste of a morning just because the Friday receptionist didn't know and gave me the wrong advice.
