The treatment that I have received from one of the healthcare assistants has been very poor. Including applying non-burn dressings to my deep burns, using inappropriate verbal comments about me and not wanting to listen to me. This included giving assessments on my burns, which are the opposite to what was diagnosed at the Preston hospital burns unit and she said she was right. Everyone else that I have been in contact with at this walk-in centre have been very friendly, professional, intelligent and caring. It is just this one females healthcare person, which has lead to a formal complaint currently going through the NHS complaints process.

Suggested improvements
If anyone attends with burns, then they should be assessed by a clinician first and with refering to the specialist team and not by very non-specialists. This is as the care of anyone is the priority and not getting things wrong
