Brought my 2 year old son in for a leaking ear which was red and bothering him. Doctors wouldn’t see him due to being at capacity at 3.30pm ( Which I find silly as he’s 2 fair enough for adults)
It was extremely busy and the receptionist said “well it’s a 3 hour wait and we close at 8pm is all I’m saying” got the impression she was trying to put us off staying. We stayed for a short while but the amount of people there and the coughing etc, I decided to leave as I felt like we were going to leave in a worse state.
Obviously I understand it can’t be helped how busy the place was but it’s not a good system for little children to have to wait such a long time.
Suggested improvements
A separate space for children like A&E does. It’s not fair on the children.
