Clinic This was my second attempt at getting an IUD coil, and I must say, the difference from a decade ago was astonishing. Back then, the whole experience was dreadful - excruciating pain, an overly long procedure, and eventually, my body rejected it within two months. After that, I avoided even considering this method of contraception. Naturally, I was quite anxious about this recent appointment, haunted by my previous negative encounters. However, my anxiety was alleviated by the nurse/midwife who attended. She was incredibly approachable, kind and knowledgeable. We talked extensively about my past experiences, and she patently addressed all my concerns with detailed explanations. The procedure was performed with utmost care and respect, making me feel completely at ease. I couldn’t have asked for more competent and experienced hands. To my pleasant surprise, the whole experience turned out to be far better than I had anticipated. I’m now positively impressed and relieved.
