The nursing staff seemed unable to agree on medication the doctor had prescribed. I was told by the day shift nurse to use the post-op morphine button as often as required, but that my oxygen mask was unnecessary. The night staff then told me off for removing the mask and replaced it, and then chastised me for using too much morphine. Once the day shift returned, I was questioned as to why I'd replaced my mask (I couldn't have done it unaided!), and the morphine removed as I hadn't been using it enough to warrant keeping it. VERY frustrating. My water jug was removed for over an hour on two occasions, and I had to ask several members of staff to replace it, despite not being able to speak with constant fluids.
