These face to face sessions were very beneficial. I am sure they would have started sooner had it not been for lock down. The physio looking after me virtually, Chris, was excellent and was the one who recommended these sessions. He understood that I needed to get face to face physio and made a great effort to make sure this happened. Prabin was lovely! Very patient and caring and has really helped me gain confidence in using gym equipment. He was really kind in organising a further 2 sessions for me, on top of the original 4 that were organised. I felt able to ask him questions and he helped and encouraged me to choose some equipment for home and encouraged me to start the process of looking for suitable classes/ gym time after these sessions ended. I only wish there had been more sessions available. I appreciate that there must be a long list of recipients for care of this sort, but I think the minimum number of sessions should be 6, increasing at the discretion of the physio you are working with. I am very, very grateful for the time that I have had and wonder if it would be possible to open up general gym time or classes for people with health/mobility issues like myself so we have somewhere to go once the 1:1 has ended? That way more patients could be helped with less staff. It would also guarantee that we kept up the exercises and didn't let all the hard work slip away!
