I had an amazingly good experience at Ashford OPD. A lovely volunteer checked me in at the screen to save me doing it, the toilets were so clean, the waiting room was bright, clean, plenty of space, lovely chairs, cold water available, and a beautiful large picture of green trees with an enticing path going through. I've been largely housebound for many months and it was such a joy to sit in front of this picture! All the nurses, radiologist and other staff were so friendly and smiling, they treated me as an individual and engaged with me. There were no long waits, and when I saw Mr Harb, the Trauma and Orthopaedic consultant he couldn't have been more kind and caring. He organised an operation at St Peter's with a colleague of his for 3 days' time as he was going away for 3 weeks and felt it was in my best interests to have it done asap. Two hours after leaving I had a phone call from St Peter's booking me in. I am so pleased, so relieved, so grateful and can only commend Ashford OPD for its service, cleanliness, attitudes and care. Thank you so much!
