It made a huge difference being able to speak to a professional regarding Long Covid. The open ended support and follow-up classes will provide reassurance and help with the recovery. The Physiotherapist, Sarah, was very knowledgeable, empathetic and reassuring. The wait time for the appointment was too long, especially as I have been unable to work. I was passed from pillar to post (from Ashford to St Peters) chasing the appointment originally, and administration staff never called back as promised; eventually, I gave up trying in the end. Then in October, out of the blue, I received a phone call from the physiotherapy department in Ashford, asking if I still needed an appointment. The administration side of the NHS is far from efficient, but the physiotherapy appointment was excellent. The most frustrating thing of all is staff not calling back when promised. It doesn't take much to write a note as a reminder and then call back with an update, regardless of the outcome.
