Experience doctor
Was seen by Professor Simon Roger’s in the Maxillary Facial unit and was operated on 22nd October 2024 for a squamous cell carcinoma of the head.
Not only did he do an amazing job of my head. He was the nicest, kindest, empathetic man. Who involved my wife and myself from the OPD to going into theatre, in every stage . He explained everything so simply about my options. Also about where to go when we arrived on day of operation. On that day he greeted me in the SEAL unit and walked me over to the waiting area. When they were ready for me in theatre he came and took me in. He then went back to talk to my wife saying that he would take good care of me and I would be out in half an hour, which I was. My wife greatly appreciated his kindness.i only wish we could have met him again to thank him. After my op I was seen on 3 occasions by his wonderful team of nurses who took great care of my wound. They were so helpful. Thank goodness all went well and no further treatment has been necessary.
Have no complaints about this hospital. It was a lovely place to be treated. Complaint is only about consultant. The nurses and theatre staff were wonderful
I have made accidents and my hand was bleeding badly and no one of the staff care they keep me waiting for 6 hours without tablet nothing I can not believe what happened to me there
Have nothing but gratitude and total respect for the Opthalmology and A&E staff at Arrowe , who work under much pressure and attain such a great and consistent level of care for their patients!! Well done!!
If you have choice .....please do not go there.......it's not a place to be sick in......
A place to avoid if you have a choice, rude uncaring staff, dirty hospital that is principally just so horrendous words cannot relate the nasty state of affairs in that institution
No beds aggressive uncaring staff
Firstly the meals are disgusting.Thats if there is any for you.Same thing on menu over and over again,I will never eat 'Italian mince' again.90% of the senior nursing staff are rude, lazy, bossy, uncaring, unwilling to listen(to patients or relatives) and in the wrong profession. They should come in as a patient sometime.However,95% of the Doctors are wonderful. They treat you better than the nurses, with more respect and most importantly they listen. If it where not for my Husband, insisting there was something really wrong with me I would be dead now,the nurse on duty saying I was 'a little sleepy today'!!
The cleaners work so hard, the porters always try and cheer you up and the student nurses are much too put upon by more experienced nurses when they don't feel like doing something. If you have the chance to choose, don't come to Arrowe Park.Please.
our daughter was well cared for by all the staff both in A&e and children's ward , they were all very caring and attentive to her on a very busy day and night on the ward . the all helped reasuring her as she was very worried about having to stay in .
i would like to say how amazing and lovely all the staff in fracture clinic plaster room have been they really have looked after her so well being very gentle talking her through every step to calm her down when things were hurting her or she got worried. Jenny and Patrick have made her feel very special and given her such care she now really looks forward to going in to see them and hopefully is over a fear of hospitals from the care and patients the drs have all given her i thank you all .
