My 1 month old baby was admitted to a & e with a high temp, she was seen immediately and started on antibiotics, a diagnosis of meningitis was made within an hour of us being there. We were admitted to a ward, the doctors, nurses and support staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Fortunately my daughter made a full recovery, we received wonderful aftercare and I will be eternally grateful to everyone who looked after us at Addenbrookes.

Well the PALs team are hopeless and there boss the chief exe should step down a badly run hosiptial with great doctors and nurses its a shame its run so badly. You need to change at the top first to make any chance of changes working in the management below. And all the PALs team are interested in is closing your case, they telephone you and tell you anymore problems just let them know but thats with out answering any questions.

I was seen by the liason psychiatry team and they once again refused to help and sent me home with no help or support. They ignored everything that was said to them and ignored the situation. They are putting my life at risk everytime they do this. Something really needs doing about this team as they are putting alot of people's lives at risk including mine.

Within this vast organisation, my experience was one of personalised and efficient patient care. The urogynaecology dept here rates very highly in my opinion.

I had a consultation with Dr Richard Baird of oncology who was extremely helpful and frank with imparting complex and difficult news. His explanations were clear and lucid and made my position and options very clear to me. Throughout my treatment I have been treated with the utmost professional care and respect and Dr Baird was no exception.

I have received nothing but excellent care at this hospital at all levels. Staff have all been efficient and friendly. Communication with the hospital and different departments has been very good. Individual medical staff have been reassuring, explaining procedures and taking the mystery out of medical procedures whether major or minor. Just very good all round. This is particularly impressive in few of staff shortages in the NHS.

Following a diagnosis for prostrate cancer I had 7.5 weeks of radiotherapy at Addenbrooke's hospital. I want to thank the following for providing an excellent and caring service and for always being positive: The Urology Department for helping me through the initial investigations, diagnosis and decision on the options for treatment, including the ability for me to speak to nurses on the phone to get clear and reassuring answers to my queries. The Radiotherapy Department for being made to feel welcome and the very friendly and efficient staff. Doctor Gill Barnett for the very professional and informative consultations. Thanks to the staff at Addenbrooke's my treatment was successful.
