I have been admitted to hospital previously with appendix problems. I felt that the whole process of sitting in a chair overnight until 5am (I have spinal stenosis) was extremely painful and frustrating, I explained this several times and nothing about the situation changed. I suffer quite badly with hospital anxiety and found that this was disregarded by the majority of staff that dealt with me. The wards were dirty, the chair next to my bed had human waste products of some type on it. The staff were mainly downtrodden and uninterested. There is no person centered care at this hospital. My father has been admitted 3 times in the last year to A&E and has spent overnight waiting to be transferred to wards. On each if the three wards my father was on there were three super bugs. My father and the whole family caught COVID from the hospital too. I used one of the public toilets and witnessed a member of staff come straight out of the toilet and exit without washing their hands. I find the hospital to be dirty in general.
