In my case I saw the GP for a referral for ultrasound and subsequent surgery in March 2023. I was referred as an urgent case. Received a letter within a month from hospital to let me know that I was on the waiting list for surgery. Subsequently contacted the surgery as pain was increasing and experiencing different symptoms. Was informed to expect a GP call back, none received. Contacted practice with helpful receptionist who confirmed that I had been missed off the list and that I would subsequently be referred for ultrasound some 3 months later.

Suggested improvements
Keep the patient informed of their journey, ensure all actions arising from consultation are followed through on.
