Making an appointment via telephone can take a while as the (single) appointment telephone line is often busy. The surgery staff are very helpful and endeavour to ensure that emergency appointments are available.
I recently had to wait 70 minutes for an emergency appointment due to a more severe emergency The receptionist notified all patients of the delay giving them the opportunity to rebook their appointment.
