Share review of Wivenhoe Surgery
GPs at Wivenhoe Medical Centre, Phillip Road, CO7 9BA are excellent & I have felt involved in decisions made about my care & treatment at each consultation.
The Medical Centre is clean.
The receptionists require customer care & communication training & need to make an effort to appear welcoming, helpful & happy in their work within the Medical Centre team (or alternatively stop working there).
More appointment slots are undoubtably required for patients, a successful bid for another GP post based at the Wivenhoe Medical Centre would help. How about the surgery becoming a training centre for new GPs (succession planning).
It is very wrong that the 'nurses' don't have on their consulting/treatment room door their title as to whether or not they are actually either a Nursing & Midwifery Council 'registered nurse' or an unregulated 'health care support worker'. Neither do these nursing/support staff introduce themselves as either a 'nurse registrant' or 'support worker'. This is fully misleading to the public/patients. Most importantly, it is actually illegal for Wivenhoe Medical Centre 'health care support workers' to pretend to the public/patients that they are 'registered nurses' & they can be prosecuted by the Nursing & Midwifery Council for doing so. Furthermore the 'nurse registrants' at Wivenhoe Medical Centre are in breach of their Nursing & Midwifery Council regulation for allowing any false claims by the 'health care support workers' of being an actual 'nurse' within their workplace to continue. This requires urgent action please...
