getting an appointment to see a docter at willowbrook is not very easy you have to ring at 8:30am and its done on a first come first served basis.I myself have to do a morning school run so find it dificult to ring at this time and even if you can the phone lines are very busy and its unlikely you will get through in the first 30 minutes i did manage to get through at 9:10am today only to be told all appointments have now gone and to ring the next day as they dont give any appointments out that are not the same day this system is bad as its likely to be the same outcome the following day.I voiced my concerns about this to the receptionist who insisted the system was good because they had managed to fill all there appointments within the first half hour,In my view totally missing the point that the service is bad because lots of people have to go without appointments because of this system.I am seriously considering registering at a diferent practice so i can get an appointment to see a doctor at a convienent time and day other than hanging on the phone for up to 30 minutes only to be told all appointments are now taken for that day

Suggested improvements
the fight for appointments is a joke and not in a funny way.you either need to make more doctors available to help fullfill the demand or a diferent way of filling appointments,other medical practices use an opppointment system spanning over several weeks i fail to see any reason why you can not do the same thus giving everybody the chance to get an appointment to see a doctor at a convienient time

We are sorry you had a bad experience trying to call us, our phone lines do get busy at 8.30am. Due the Coronavirus pandemic, restrictions on face-to-face appointments have to remain in place to protect the staff and patients, so we cannot offer pre-bookable appointments at present. The NHS 111 team are able to arrange telephone or face-to-face appointments for you if they think you need it.
