I rang the surgery asking to give a message to a doctor about my need for more antiinflammatories as the pain had come back. The receptionist suggested i request them online and ignored my explanation that it was not possible as the tablets are not part of my regular medications, adding she was not going to waste the time of a doctor for that. Allegedely she asked her manager who then suggested a number for me to ring to be told how to use the online system which i have actually been using succesfully for a long time. I went to the pharmacy, as part of another suggestion from the receptionist, asking them to request the tablets, they did but could not assure me the request would be granted and i have now to wait 4/5 days before knowng the outcome, meanwhile i am in pain. All this after following the instructions from a text message to ring the surgery and speak to a clinician before booking an appointment. I would like to know what they expect us to do when we are ill but not dying.
