At one time I was looking to leave the practice, but since covid 19 this GP surgery has been marvellous. It's much easier filling in a form online and waiting for someone to review it and ring back next door. We have had marvellous service from two locums and Dr M Lamplugh. We only contact the doctors when it is really necessary not because we have colds or viruses so expect to get an appointment reasonably quickly. I hope they keep up the new system it's much better and fair for those who are genuinely ill and need to see a GP or nurse.

Suggested improvements
It seems the training of the receptionists does not include basic medical knowledge. some are more experienced, it's pot luck. We have been unlucky in the past to get a receptionist who (when my husband came out of hospital needing insulin and the equipment around it) told me he would have to wait 3 weeks to see a GP and then he would need to bring proof that he was diabetic and needed insulin. I have twice had to involve the practice manager for help or he would not be alive.
