Writing on behalf of my Mam. She has had fantastic care from Dr Danielle who has completely listened to her every need. From making sure she was getting the right medication and organising prompt referrals. I appreciate the service is working under extreme pressure but my mam has been treated with dignity and respect. The pharmacy staff are great to. Quick service. Thank you.

Every time I go to this doctors, the receptionists, specifically are always extremely rude and impatient or every single one that I’ve ever spoken to at least. Consistently making snarky comments to you, generally being huffy and miserable every time you speak to them to the point it makes it an effort as someone with certain circumstance related anxieties, to make appointments and to go to the doctors in the first place. One time I went to this surgery, a nurse didn’t even recognise the practitioner, that was giving me an ecg and performed loads of tests on me - didn’t exactly fill me with confidence. She’s never met him before, didn’t know who he was. I go to this surgery because it is close to me but I sincerely wish there were better practices in the area so that I could actually have a decent visit to the doctors. When you’re feeling depressed/in pain/uncomfortable in any sort of way, the last thing you’d want is to be spoken down by someone, who sits behind a desk, acting like they’re some sort of superior, whilst the practitioners do the real work. Terrible customer service, terrible ill-mannered staff. Sick of feeling so down after speaking to these people. Attitude is ridiculous, infantile and unprofessional.

Suggested improvements
Train your receptionists a bit more on customer service and ensure they speak to patients with respect, and if not encourage patients to at least treat them the same way in return.

At one time I was looking to leave the practice, but since covid 19 this GP surgery has been marvellous. It's much easier filling in a form online and waiting for someone to review it and ring back next door. We have had marvellous service from two locums and Dr M Lamplugh. We only contact the doctors when it is really necessary not because we have colds or viruses so expect to get an appointment reasonably quickly. I hope they keep up the new system it's much better and fair for those who are genuinely ill and need to see a GP or nurse.

Suggested improvements
It seems the training of the receptionists does not include basic medical knowledge. some are more experienced, it's pot luck. We have been unlucky in the past to get a receptionist who (when my husband came out of hospital needing insulin and the equipment around it) told me he would have to wait 3 weeks to see a GP and then he would need to bring proof that he was diabetic and needed insulin. I have twice had to involve the practice manager for help or he would not be alive.
