I was pleased the surgery phone was answered straightaway around 8.15 am. Doctor Rogers phoned back within half an hour and said I could go straight to the Lyons Court surgery to see him. He arranged an ECG and blood test at the Warmdene surgery that morning and a chest X-ray at the Hove Polyclinic also that morning. I thought I was dealt with extremely efficiently, quickly and helpfully by all staff. Thankyou!

Can't get same day appointments unless you get the duty doctor to call you back which means waiting in or talking to them whilst at work which could be embarrassing. They then decide whether you need an appointment or not which they usually do as its the whole reason for phoning. Also have to wait ages for the phone to be answered.

I have been completely and utterly messed around by this surgery, will not be coming back (have been at this surgery since I was born). I needed a medical form signed to go diving. I first enquired about this on the 29th of November. They gave me an appointment with the nurse for the 13th of December (this was cutting it fine for the form deadline but they insisted they had nothing else). I turned up the day before my appointment to give them the forms to read over and they told me I had no appointment for the next day but all they needed was BP and they could do it straight away. I then went back multiple times to receive my signed letter and was told it wasn't ready. On the 18th (2 days past the deadline for my forms) I went in and told them it was now an absolute emergency and I needed the forms that day. They found them with a note on them saying I needed an appointment with the nurse before they could be signed. After almost crying at them about how urgent this was I got a appointment the next day which the doctors could sign the forms immediately after. The next day I saw the nurse, left it an hour and a half then went back to collect my forms I was promised would be ready to be told by the receptionist that they weren't there. After telling her the whole story she shrugged at me and said there were no doctors in the surgery and there was nothing she could do. At this point I did kick off and ask to speak to the manager who told me the doctor was there and he could sign it straight away. I now have the form but the amount of aggravation I was given over these forms is criminal. It's also worth mentioning that as I missed the deadline for the forms I may not be aloud to go on a £2000 trip that I have already paid for.

Usually I'm under the care of Dr Rogers, who is completely supportive and a very good listener. I feel that we can discuss my care and that he takes me seriously. Recently I spoke on the phone to Dr Lewis, who organised an immediate clinic appointment for me. A prompt appointment meant that I was examined and reassured about my symptoms as soon as possible. I feel that all the staff at the practice do what they can to offer a very caring and supportive service and take patients' concerns seriously.
