I phoned the practice at 8.30am, on the first day after the Easter holiday, to make an routine appointment to see a doctor. The holding message said I was number 26 in the queue. My call was answered in 10 minutes and I was offered an appointment at 10.50am that morning. The examining doctor wanted to refer me to a colleague for a second opinion and this second appointment was made for 8am the following day. This is outstanding service given all the current public debate and criticisms about waiting times to make appointments with GPs. This practice seems very organised and efficient.
