Absolutely ridiculous appointment system, suitable only for people with nothing to do all day. You can’t pre-book appointments, only phone on the day after 08:30 or show up on the day after 08:30, neither of which are guaranteed to get you an appointment. I’m at work at 08:30, 30 miles away so if I am fortunate enough to get through before all of the appointments are gone I have to drive back 30 miles any maybe back to work again 30 miles. Am I expected to not go to work just in case I can get an appointment?.
Also, on the last two appointments I did manage to get (only after asking for details of complaints procedure) the doctor didn’t even have the decency to see me at the appointed time even though I was the first appointment on one occasion (20 minute late) and the second on the other (30 minutes late) and I know for a fact that on the second occasion the doctor didn’t even arrive until five minutes after my appointment time.
Very human interaction whilst carrying out the minor surgery with a high level of professionalism.
Clean and hygienic surroundings and a high level of involvement with me from first appointment , through booking of appointment at the minor surgery clinic to the end of the procedure.
Phoned on Wed afternoon for a non urgent appointment and got one for the following Wednesday. Saw Dr Pande who was thorough, informative asked lots of questions and answered all mine. She gave me her considered opinion and sent me for a test to confirm her diagnosis. Excellent service and medical care.
Very difficult to get an appointment. Appointments cannot be booked in advance, only on the day of contacting them. This means ringing from surgery opening time. In my experience it is impossible to get through initially and once you do get through all the appointments for attendance or ring back are gone. The only way to be sure of getting an appointment is to queue at the door on surgery opening which is fine for those who can but places people who cannot queue in person (ie more disabled) at a disadvantage. Is this discrimination? If you can get an appointment the clinical staff are fine. It's the appointment system operated at this surgery that is so poor.
Had to see Claire about ear treatment. She was knowledgable and caring. Could not have expected anything better! It would help to get an appointment if people attended after they had arranged one. 176 missed appointments in one month is rediculous.
