It can be very difficult to get through by telephone and when you are it is difficult to be seen

I was notified that I should book a spring covid vaccination and booked an appointment with a pharmacy in Stubbington to have this done today. I have had cancer and assumed this was the reason that I was advised to book the jab. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told I was not eligible after all as I had not had radiotherapy in the last year. I took time off work and lost money to attend this appointment and wasted my time and the pharmacist' s time, attending an appointment that could have been given to someone else. I was told that quite a few people had been sent a message in error. Before sending out random notifications, it would be a good idea to check patient' s eligibility, in order not to waste everyone' s time and if a mistake is made the patient should be informed to ignore the initial message. I feel the system could and should be improved in this regard. Overall I have had a good service from this practice but I am not happy about this.
