I can't understand patients complaining about getting appointments. The receptionist do their best with the number of calls they have each day. The reason they ask what the problem is as one doesn't need an appointment with a doctor when all one has is a cold which can be sorted out with a bit of self care. I asked for an appointment yesterday and will be seeing a nurse soon. We have a great surgery and those that complain should try using surgeries in other parts of the town. That's if they can register elsewhere. Please be patience and help those that are trying to help you.

Thank you very much for this. We, as a surgery need to communicate with our patients how hard it is currently to recruit GPs and Nurses and with the continuing closure of practices, we are under immense pressure. We will continue to strive to be the best practice we can be and will continue to lobby with the other practices to NHS England for more support so that our patients are given the best care we can give.
