The problem with this practice is not the Doctors or medical professionals, it is the receptionists/admin team. They do not answer the phone unless it is around the 'emergency appointments' times of 8am and 1.30pm, where the phone will be answered for about an hour. Outside of those times and you could be on hold for an hour while being 'first in the queue' while you 'wait to speak to a representative' in an awful American voice. If you do, by some miracle, manage to get through you may sometimes get help on the query or reason you are calling. If you are calling to seek an appointment then prepare to get grilled and interrogated as to why you want one.

To improve: - Answer the phone outside of the emergency appointments window. I once sat on hold for an hour and fifteen minutes first in line, from 12.15 to 13.30 just to speak to someone on reception as requested. They'd only started answering the phone for afternoon emergency appointments and because i'd been waiting the whole period, i was answered. I didn't even want an appointment and this was pre-COVID times. - Be more courteous in your enquiries as to why people want an appointment, receptionists are not medical professionals and should not be passing judgement on patients of the practice. - But mainly, answer the damn phone.

I have a gout attached in my left toe which became blistered and burst. I called to make an appointment at 11.35 and waited over 25 minutes being told "you are 1st in the queue" but had to hang up. I called again at 3.25 pm being 10th in queue and waited until 4pm before being told "no appointments today, you can see a nurse but you wont get any treatment such as antibiotics. You'll have to call at 8.00am tomorrow or call 111!!" What superb service!

All I needed to do was speak to a Dr/ send pictures of the state of my toe.....what less than 5 minutes to make a decision? It is NOT for receptionist's to make medical decisions!!

The phone is always busy, I have waited more than 30mins on several occasions, when you are waiting in the queue the most awful American computer voice tells you that you are waiting to speak to a “representative”.Once you get through it’s like an interrogator speaking to you, who generously might give an appointment. Once you get an appointment I have no problem with the decree of care, but the senior partner always seems to be thinking about something else not you.

I have been with this practice for many years, even waiting to be seen (once you get an appointment) it seems you are an inconvenience to the receptionist and it looks like staff in the background are having a good chat rather than working.

Exceptional care given to my daughter suffering with a depressive illness. Always seen within a few hours and given understanding, professional care by Doctors and staff. Often not the case as mental health issues are not understood in some practices and its "pull yourself together". Thank you so much to Doctors and staff for giving compassionate care when the NHS is under such demand and strain. You have helped our daughter and subsequently the whole family. With thanks and kindest regards to you all.

The Doctor was so lovely and caring. Nicest doctor I have seen for years. He did not rush me at all. I hope he stays at the surgery.
