I would really like to be able to recommend the surgery. The doctor that I have to see on a fairly regular basis is also one of the most popular and therefore one of the hardest to get to see. Working in the City means that at 8.00 am I am usually half way to work, so calling for an appointment means taking the day off with no guarantee of actually getting an appointment. Some of the receptionists can be quite brusque (probably due to the extreme pressure they work under). Even when told the doctor wants to see me, they aren't always at all helpful. I quite often use the telephone consultation. The doctor I see is absolutely brilliant. My husband and I have both been through some quite bad times in the last few years, our history is known and of course knowing both of us can take that into consideration when seeing either of us. The practice on the whole is really good, it just needs more resourcing for the amount of people it has to care for. On that basis I wouldn't recommend or stop anyone else going to the surgery. If the appointments could be sorted out in better way that would help greatly (especially for those who are working). Then I would recommend.

I can only speak from my experience with Dr Mahmud, but I have found him to be very professional in his approach, extremely experienced in the practice of medicine and has just carried out an operation on me at the surgery which had the potential of saving my life!!... full marks to this surgery and to Dr Mahmud and the team.

I understand that because the surgery serves many patients it is quite often very difficult to get through in the mornings for an appointment. It does seem to have improved slightly recently but sometimes by the time I have got through I could not get an appointment for that day. I am not complaining about the staff but the system sometimes makes it difficult to see a G.P the same day.

we had a letter from the doctor to make an appointment went down to make said appointment nothing till 24th June todays date 26th May appalling. receptionist said well ring in the morning my husband said we can't get through and when we do all appointments are gone, so come down of a morning that attitude stinks should not be happening. while I type this I have rung jones family to speak to practise manager she is not here she is at Rayleigh so I am still on the phone after some 24minutes waiting to speak to practise manager. this practise has so badly gone down hill it is just not good enough. we will now consider going somewhere else. what a rubbish practise

after reading other reviews about this surgery id like to add I see my doctor once a month to get a repeat prescription and I always manage to get an appointment . very happy with my doctor and the nurses here are the most caring ... the receptionists seem to be getting a hard time on here ? They are not doctors just there to book you in and give general. Advice Keep. up the good work I wouldn't wanna go anywhere else
