My partner cut his finger bad so called into the hockley practice to see if a nurse or doc could have a quick look to save going to a&e and they was just so helpful the nurse was very kind and got doc to look at it and then we went to Broomfield but the nurse did it all up for him very pleased with their care.

Nothing staff were wonderfull unlike the Rayleigh churchview who were awful just told us to go away and go to a&e

Disgusting treatment, do not use this GP. No care for the requirement to have a repeat prescription that is reliant on my daughters mental and physical health. The receptionists were and are continually rude, obnoxious, blunt, uninformative and had no compassion . The appointment process is completely atrocious and impossible in emergency’s to get in contact. This GP surgery, though the doctors are well trained, you can never actually get an appointment to see them, making it a disgraceful clinic to place your trust in for your health. Go anywhere else, they have forced me to consider private health care as it seems the only way I can ensure my daughters and my own health. No regard for school or work hours and that some need to have appointments around these crucial parts of life. Do not recommend.

Received a message asking me to make an appointment to discuss xray results. Phone on Monday and gave up after 40 minutes. Phoned at 1.30 today was 4th in the queue. Left Basildon at 2pm whilst being 2nd in the queue. Drove to Hockley and was 1st in the queue. Decided it was easier to go in and make an appointment but stayed on the phone in case anyone answered. This is 65 minutes after I first called. Presuming they were going to answer soon, by my reckoning they manage to deal with 1 phone call every 32 minutes. They display a sign that says "you asked for a phone queueing system and we provided one" which would be good if they allocated one of the receptionists to just taking phone calls. If there are 4 doctors on site who do 4 appointments per hour that's 16 appoints from 1.30 that presumably never got taken because the phone wasn't answered

It seems to be accepted that Doctors are busy so we should all wait. Well, lots of other people are busy as well but that doesn't seem to matter. Its only a guess but making an appointment should take no more than 5 minutes, probably a lot less. Why not allocate one receptionist to answer the phone and make appointments. I am fairly fit and healthy but have concerns for older people who might not have the capability of holding on the phone for hours at a time just to see a Doctor. Also we should remember this is not a free service. We all pay through out NI contributions and should be entitles to a decent service.

Just been to see dr curnock and he is absolutely brilliant he actually listens to you and dosent rush you hes kind and caring and yet professional he really puts you at your ease i am so nervous about going to see a doctor but he really is excellent i cannot recommend him enough,i also saw the nurse today who was also lovely and helpfull we are so lucky to have such kind people working there thank you ,everyone is so quick to complain but i could not fault them on my treatment today.
