The surgery unfortunately are not capable of receiving and acting on prescriptions. I am a transplant patient and have to take certain medicines regularly to keep the transplant going, I cannot keep count on the amount of time these main medicines have been left off of my repeat prescription, I have challenge the chemist about this as this morning I went to the chemist to pick my two monthly repeat prescription only to find the main two sets of tablets missing, they were ordered on Wednesday and was told they were available to pick up after 5 PM Friday on querying the problem was told that they were reordered on Thursday unfortunately they are now URGENT as I am now going on holiday, the chemist also stated that my prescription was sent to them on the Wednesday they show me the book which stated they ordered 10 items and only received 7 and it was not their problem or mistake it was the surgeries who on Saturday were closed until Tuesday as it was a bank holiday. also if I put my prescription in at the surgery and when I pick it up there are items missing I am told I will have to make a repeat request and wait 48 hours, what a disgusting situation and where is the quality care and control. this message will also be sent to the quality care commission. yours R.Waite
