The phone appointment on Tuesday 14th was cancelled at 5pm previous Friday (due to a doctor "meeting" unavoidable)and I rescheduled for 4 June ...
not very happy. Then at 4pm on 13th May appointment reinstated without proper consultation, since by this time I had made arrangements elsewhere for 14th
So doctor ends up ringing me twice on 14th when I'm am not available. Complaint has been issued to surgery

If I need an appointment I always go to the surgery in person. I have not had great success using the phone to book so I don’t try now, I go in person to speak to someone at the desk.
Wait time for my call to be answered was about 15-20 minutes, I was okay with this as I was not in a hurry to be elsewhere. Once I was through receptionist was extremely helpful, polite and gave me the time I needed and arranged a telephone consultation with a doctor.

Dr Ellis was efficient and helpful and I had a blood test the next day
