It has taken me many years to come to terms with the treatment given to me by Dr Robinson when I was suffering from depression. I've never felt more threatened in my life and unwanted in my life. I was asked with a shout whether I was suicidal and told that there is no help unless I am. It left me considering suicide as an option to get professional help.
it's only recent experiences with better doctors that I've been able to reflect on this. Please do anything you can to see another doctor that is capable of listening and empathy. I hate to think the number of people that have been left permanently damaged by this "help".
Suggested improvements
Learn about mental health and realise that shouting at someone who has mental health issues is probably a bad way to go. Try listening and offer help. Don't point someone to a website and think your job is done.
