The appointment system is appalling and bordering on inhumane. I have ring 37 times two days in a row. At first you get cut off as there are too many callers and then finally when you are lucky enough to join the “lottery” that enables you to hold your queue position and be rung back you find that when you are rung back all appointments are gone. I found this 3 days in a row and I was in tears as I have been so unwell with chronic migraines happening every night.

Suggested improvements
There needs to be on going care and the ability to see the same doctor. You need to be able to make follow up appointments about your condition and to discuss test results, I have had tests done recently and you have to ring in to find out. There is no consistency of doctors so you are left feeling very uncared for. The secretaries and people of the phone are amazing and so kind and I feel sorry for them as they are having to deal with such an ill run surgery of doctors. But critically and urgently they have to sort out their appointments system. It has caused my anxiety to come back given how ill I currently am and I know I am going into tomorrow to make that stressful phone call to try and get an appointment that I couldn’t make for 2 days last week.
