The Doctors and nurses at this surgery are fantastic. The only issue I have is that every time I call the surgery , the phone constantly rings and rings. This morning I called to double check the time for my appointment - it took the surgery 3 1/2 minutes to answer the phone. While they are on the whole fairly polite before I could say 'thank you and bye' the phone was slammed down on me! This is not an isolated situation either.
Dr McFarlan is a wonderful doctor and I don't know what I would have done without her. I've also seen Dr Bortay who was very good too.
Complete lack of compassion and understanding for the condition my elderly father was in or his long term requirements. There was an overwhelming sense that we were being fobbed off.
Little practical thought or advice was offered that would result in my father's or my family's quality of life improving in tge short to medium term.
The longer opening hours for the GP appts is very useful in so many ways. Although I no longer work I can see the advantages of being able to have late evening appts and early morning. To be able to visit the surgery before or after work makes life easier and also people with children can leave them with their other half in the evening, it just gives extra choice. Even people doing shift work can come to the surgery before starting say a night shift. Also the parking is easier.
I've been seeing Dr Javaid recently and come away feeling more positive. It carn't be easy picking up the information and treating a patient with all the time restraints, but I always feel listened to and supported.
Thank you so much for all the care I have received from Dr Khan, Dr Dunkley and the brilliant Dr Macfarlan. You have all given me care beyond that I expected. You have been friendly, honest and very caring. Thank you to the ladies on the front line - so helpful and kind this is much improved and most welcome. The new text message service has really helped me keep track of all the appointments that I have needed. A big thank you to the team.
