This surgery used to be great, getting an appointment has always been a challenge and effectively requires you to dial the hell out of the number but usually they can get you in on the same day. The latest problem is really a breakdown in communication, administration and their dangerous policies on care. They clearly have problems with patients who come with multiple problems, I'm one such patient as I rarely visit a doctor unless I have several problems (thinking they're all some how related). Now when you visit the doctor, you the patient, are expected to make a clinical decision surrounding which of the aliments you want treating in that session. You're then expected to make a further appointment at another time to go through the other issues. They're literally putting peoples lives at risk operating in this way because I won't know which of the problems could be more serious than the other! Administration of repeat prescriptions is also convoluted, you go in, fill in a form, come back two days later and find the prescription is in the chemists next door. They have a website for order RPs but they forget to add items to it without prompting, they don't use their website to it's full potential either as they've elected to disable key features. And like others have said, there is a general feeling they just don't care, but I have to say there are some good GPs in there and nurses too. I just think this surgery is trying to make a point with regards to recent budget cuts from the Gov, when all they will do is drive patients elsewhere.
