My 10 year old daughter has recently been diagnosed with a chronic illness requiring a weekly injection. We were badly let down by the arrangements between Kings Hospital and the homecare company and in our frustration at getting treatment started I asked Dr Collins if he would consider doing the injection so she could begin treatment. I cannot thank him enough for his compassion and understanding of our situation - this was not an easy situation for any of us but he took ownership of the problem and arranged for the practice nurse Caroline to be available with him whilst the injection was administered. I would like to highlight the exceptional care given to our daughter by Dr Collins himself, Caroline the nurse and Cathy the receptionist who relayed many messages between us - always calling me back promptly because she understood that I was an anxious and upset mum in the middle of a difficult time. Thanks to all again, the combined efforts of everyone made our difficult situation so much easier to cope with and its appreciated by us so much.
